Denise Wescott - Cal Berkeley

Denise Wescott Cal Womens Lacrosse

With over 25 years of coaching experience, Denise Wescott has been named an assistant coach for California women's lacrosse.

During her career of over 30 years of Division I collegiate coaching, Wescott has served as the head women's lacrosse coach for Monmouth (2009-14), Mount St. Mary's (2004-09), Delaware (1993-2004), Rutgers University (1991-93) and Drew University (1989-90). Also, from 1996-2005, she served as the head coach for the German National and World Cup teams.

Since 2014, Wescott has served as the Director of Lacrosse for the Capital Lacrosse Club in Alexandria, Va.

Her coaching accolades include being named the IWLCA Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Conference Coach of the Year. In 2006, Wescott was inducted into the Lacrosse Hall of Fame in New Jersey, and she also won the IWLCA Diane Geppi-Aikens Lifetime Achievement College Coaching Award.

As a player, Wescott was a four-year starting goalkeeper and captain at Maryland in field hockey and lacrosse. During the span of her collegiate career, the Terrapins went 50-11-1 and advanced to the AIAW tournament three times. She totaled 519 career saves and a 6.99 goals-against average. She was named to the USWLA All-Star team and USWLA Final Four All-Tournament team in 1980.
