Dillon Humphreys
Camp Director
Marshall, Mo., (Dec. 11, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College Athletic Department announces the hiring of Dillon Humphreys as the first head coach for the women's flag football program.
Last week, Missouri Valley announced the addition of women's flag football as the athletic department's 34th varsity program, with the inaugural season set for the spring of 2027. Humphreys will lead the program as its first head coach, and will be building the roster over the next year in preparation for the 2027 season.
Humphreys comes to Missouri Valley with years of experience both playing and coaching flag football. He was a member of the All-Army Flag Football organization as a player and a coach from 2014-2022. He also spent time as an assistant football coach in the Liberty (Mo.) schools, has helped develop youth flag football teams in the Kansas City, Mo., area, and has scouted and trained over 100 football athletes as an Independent Football Athlete Trainer.
"I am truly honored to become the first women's flag football head coach and step into this role at Missouri Valley College to begin building the foundation of our flag football program," said Humphreys. "I'm grateful to Athletic Director Marsha Lashley and President Dr. Joe Parisi for believing in this vision and trusting me with the opportunity to help shape something special here. I'm ready to get to work, serve our student-athletes, and build a program the MVC community can be proud of."
Humphreys has earned an Advanced Flag License from USA Football, and is a Soldiers to Sidelines Certified Head Coach. He served in the US Army for eight years, earning a rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6), and earned three Commendation medals, six Achievement medals and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
"Dillon brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise with him to the head coaching position," said Athletic Director Marsha Lashley. "His previous experience as a flag football player and a coach is exactly what we need to get our new program up and running. I look forward to Dillon building up the program over the next year, and I am excited about Missouri Valley's involvement with this fast-growing sport. His recruitment efforts will begin quickly, and the spring 2027 season will be here before we know it."
Flag football student-athletes will have access to the same resources as all other sports at the college, including athletic training, strength and conditioning and academic support. Women's flag football is recognized as an Invitational championship sport with the NAIA.
Humphreys is married to Caitlyn Renee Humphreys, and they have three children, Ariel, Weston and Hunter.
