Alan Jones
Coaching Director
Alan Jones is a highly respected leader in youth soccer development with more than 36 years of experience in the soccer camp industry, helping shape one of the most recognized camp delivery models in North America. Originally from Bangor, North Wales, Jones moved to Kansas City in 1989 and has since dedicated the majority of his career to growing the game and expanding access to quality soccer education.
Throughout his career, Jones has played a key role in building and leading large-scale youth soccer camp programs, including his long tenure with Challenger Sports and its affiliated camp brands. His work has focused on creating structured, engaging environments that help young players build technical ability, confidence, and a lifelong passion for the game. With more than three decades in youth sports coaching and camp leadership, he is widely recognized for setting a high standard for positive player development and coach mentorship.
Coaching Leadership & Philosophy
As a Coaching Director and senior leader, Jones has overseen coach education, curriculum design, and on-field delivery across thousands of camp environments. He is known for promoting:

Community Impact & ShareWaves Partnership
Jones is deeply committed to using soccer as a vehicle for community impact. He has helped champion a meaningful partnership with the ShareWaves Foundation, a Kansas City–based nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to sport. Through this collaboration, a percentage of all camp revenue is directed toward developing players and improving facilities in underserved communities across the Greater Kansas City area.
This initiative reflects Jones’s long-standing belief that every child—regardless of background—deserves access to high-quality coaching and positive sport experiences.
