Drew Virk

Drew Virk is the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at the University of California, Berkeley.
Drew Virk brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the field, with a career rooted in Bay Area lacrosse.
Virk played his high school lacrosse at St. Ignatius College Preparatory before continuing his playing career at the University of Maryland. He later played for the Olympic Club and has remained deeply involved in developing lacrosse players throughout Northern California.
At the collegiate level, Virk previously served as the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Stanford University. He has also coached with ADVNC Lacrosse and most recently served as an Assistant Coach at Miramonte High School, helping lead the Matadors to the 2026 NCS Division II Championship.
Virk was recently named the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at the University of California, Berkeley, where he will lead the next chapter of Cal lacrosse.
With experience as a player, college head coach, youth coach, and mentor, Virk brings a unique perspective to every player he works with. His goal is to help athletes develop their skills, confidence, lacrosse IQ, and love for the game.
