Learn from the best at Cal Lacrosse Camp! Directed by Cal Men's Head Lacrosse Coach, Ned Webster, the summer camp is designed for beginners to those with aspirations of playing for the Golden Bears (ages 5-18), and focuses on stick skills, position play, team concepts, an overall intense level of competition. Discussions on what it takes to become a Golden Bear as well as a campus tour are included.
Instruction takes place each day at Maxwell Field, on the beautiful campus of UC-Berkeley.
All Cal Sports Camps are open to any and all entrants. For your safety and benefit, we recommend you choose a camp that fits your level of development. Due to high demand and limited capacity, prices are subject to increase as camp exceeds 25%/50%/75% capacity.

Camp Director Ned Webster
Ned Webster enters his ninth year as head coach of the Cal Men's Lacrosse program. Webster grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, playing three years of varsity lacrosse at the Boys’ Latin School before heading to South Bend, Indiana to play for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish where he started at attack, earning four titles in the now-defunct Great Western Lacrosse League and four NCAA tournament appearances, before graduating in 1999.

*Please Note: Last year, camp sessions SOLD OUT at this location*. You can expect a high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early. Directed by Head Coach at Cal, Ned Webster, this camp is for beginners to those with aspirations of playing at the collegiate level! This summer, Cal is offering one session of day camp (9:00am-3:00pm) for ages 5-13 and 14-18.

- Program: The Youth Skills program is designed for beginners, youth and middle school players (ages 5-13), looking to sharpen their skills. All facets of the game will be covered ranging from stick skills, position play and team concepts. Campers will also be able to incorporate these skills into the daily game play.
- Program: The High School Skills program is designed for high school players (ages 13-18), and focuses on stick skills, position play, team concepts, an overall intense level of competition. Discussions on what it takes to become a Golden Bear as well as a campus tour are included.

MEALS
Lunch is NOT provided. Please bring healthy snacks each day.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
- Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers will receive a Cal Camp t-shirt and prizes.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
- Equipment Needed: Please bring your cleats, helmet, gloves , pads, mouthpiece, lacrosse stick(s), helmet and pads (Goalies)
- Facility: Witter Field
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

HIGH SCHOOL CAMP
This camp is designed for high school players (ages 14-18), and focuses on stick skills, position play, team concepts, an overall intense level of competition. Discussions on what it takes to become a Golden Bear as well as a campus tour are included.
YOUTH CAMP
This camp is designed for beginners, youth and middle school players (ages 8-13), looking to sharpen their skills. All facets of the game will be covered ranging from stick skills, position play and team concepts. Campers will also be able to incorporate these skills into the daily game play.

CAMP INFO
SESSION WILL INCLUDE:
- Stickwork, individual attacking and defensive skills (shooting, dodging, footwork, etc).
- Team attack and defensive concepts (double teams, draw and dumps, etc).
- For high school players, footwork and agility session with Cal Lacrosse Conditioning Coach.
- Drills and games for players to take with them after camp so they can continue to improve.
