Duke Williams

Duke Williams has been the Head Coach at Evangelical Christian School 2015-present.

In his first year, ECS finished 3rd in the state tournament and had the first ever Mr. Baseball on the team, coaching two kids that went on to play division 1 from that team. In his second year they finished 4th in the state and had their second baseman finish in the top 10 in stolen bases in the state, and one player go on to play at a D2 school off of that team. Prior to being the head coach he served as the JV head coach and varsity assistant at ECS for two years, working with pitchers and outfielders. In 2013 the Varsity team finished as state champions and had one player go to play at Mississippi State where he is now an All-American. In his second year with the Varsity team, they made it to the sub-state series, from that team two players went on to play D1.

Before ECS he was an assistant at Germantown High School working with pitchers. In his year at Germantown, they made it to the state tournament for the first time since 2001.

Before coming to Germantown he served as a grad assistant at the University of Memphis working with pitchers under Fred Corral (pitching coach at Georgia now). Helping with 4 pitchers that went on to play professionally. He received his masters in physical education/teach education with a concentration in human movement sciences.

As a player, he was a pitcher for the University of Memphis after transferring in from Southern Arkansas.
