Duncan L. Anderson Jr
Duncan L. Anderson Jr. or as most know him as, Coach Duncan, is a native
of East Baltimore. Coach Duncan grew up playing at the Oliver Recreation
Center where he fell in love with sports. He played football, basketball,
tennis and was on the Baltimore Swim team.
A graduate of Mervo Technical high school, Coach Duncan was named the #1 athlete in the
State of Maryland his senior year. A captain on all his teams, Coach Duncan became All-Metro
in football, basketball and tennis which earned him the Maryland Kelly Award.
Coach Duncan attended Virginia Union University where he played college basketball. He
received his Bachelor of Science in Religion. Not getting much playing time at VUU, God lead
Coach Duncan to Maryland Bible College and Seminary to pursue his masters in Biblical
Studies. This is where his college basketball career took off. Leading Maryland Bible to the
NCCAA Eastern Regional Championship his first year.
God gave him a bigger vision then just playing sports. Coach Duncan started his clothing
company, Yours Holy LLC. which is the maker of the "Holy Dirt" Christian Clothing line. This
then gave birth to his nonprofit youth football organization called "Team Holy Dirt" where it was
founded by his wife Melinda Anderson and himself. He committed to teach the youth of
Baltimore the proper way of playing the game of football and the ability to use their talents on
the next levels.
God lead Coach Duncan to Dundalk High school to become the Offensive Coordinator of
football and the Associate Head Coach of Basketball. As the Offensive Coordinator of football,
he led Dundalk to their first ever win in the playoffs. The next year he led Dundalk to the
Regional Championship and its first birth in the 3A State Championship game. Coach Duncan
also led the #1 offense and the highest scoring offense in Maryland for 2 years straight. In
basketball Dundalk won its first Sectional Championship and hosted the Regional Championship
game being the #1 seed. With the #1 offense and highest scoring offense in the state of Maryland for 2 years in a row.
Coach Duncan coached beside Daryl Wade last season at City College High school.
Over the last 8 years Coach Duncan has been responsible for sending over 86 student athletes
to college from Dundalk and City College High Schools.
In 2018 He is now the new Offensive Coordinator at Garinger High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lead them to a bag win over the defending state champs Harding University.
2020- 2021 Phillip O'Berry High School Offensive Coordinator.
His hard work mentality and understanding that a winner is a winner on every level drives him to
create nothing but winners all around him. Because Winners Win!
