Emily Morphitis was named Associate Head Coach of the CMSV women's soccer program on August 15. She makes her way to Riverdale after a stint with Skyline Conference rival St. Joseph's University Long Island, where she served as the program's head coach for four seasons beginning in 2019. Morphitis propelled the Golden Eagles to a combined 24-21-5 record with three Skyline Conference Tournament appearances.

Morphitis arrived in Patchogue from Hofstra University, where she spent three seasons as the women’s soccer team’s assistant coach. During her time with the Pride, the women’s soccer program captured two CAA tournament championships and made two NCAA Division I Tournament Appearances. Morphitis helped the goalkeeping tandem of Jenna Borresen and Ashley Wilson develop in 2017, with the pair combining for 11 shutouts on the season, the second most in program history. Under Morphitis’ tutelage, the duo allowed just three goals in CAA play, as the Pride went a perfect 9-0 in conference to claim the regular-season title before winning the tournament championship and earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Prior to coaching at Hofstra, Morphitis spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. During her two seasons at Northwestern State, Morphitis oversaw an improvement in the Demons' goalkeepers that resulted in a drop in team goals against average from 2.24 in 2014 to 1.42 the following year. She also assisted in recruiting student-athletes, scouting opponents and oversaw Northwestern State’s soccer camps and clinics. Morphitis also taught four classes at Northwestern State in the department of health and human performance.

Morphitis was a Hofstra University Dean’s List selection during each of her four years and graduated in May 2014 with a degree in criminology. She earned a master’s degree in sports administration from Northwestern State in 2016.

Originally from London, England, Morphitis spent time in Chelsea Football Club’s Ladies Premier League first team before enrolling at Hofstra in 2010. A member of the England National Youth Squad at the U15, U17 and U19 levels, Morphitis won the 2012 CAA championship with Hofstra in 2012, was a member of the CAA All-Rookie Team in 2010 and was the CAA Tournament MVP in 2012.
