Frank Resetartis

Assistant Coach

Frank Resetartis - Assistant Coach

Frank Resetarits, a six-year professional lacrosse veteran and a former Tewaaraton finalist, joined the UC Davis coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in 2018.

Resetaris, who already coaches the Aggie men's club, also directs the Sacramento chapter of ACES Lacrosse Club. He will serve as the Aggie women's team's volunteer assistant coach.

Originally from Hamburg, New York, Resetarits earned four consecutive All-America East Conference honors, including three straight nods on the first team, at the University of Albany. The two-year team captain led the NCAA in scoring as a junior, then capped his collegiate career with USILA first-team All-America status, plus America East Player of the Year and UAlbany Athlete of the Year accolades.

Most impressively, Resetarits was a finalist for the 2007 Tewaaraton Award for the outstanding national player of the year. Through 2017, he still ranks among the top 10 in school history in career points (241), career goals (158), career assists (83), season points (80), season goals (57).

Resetarits played with the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse from 2007-2009, while enjoying five total seasons of box lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League with the San Jose Stealth (2008-10) and Buffalo Bandits (2010-12). He also played the 2011 season with the Brampton Excelsiors of Major Series Lacrosse, helping his team to the Mann Cup in that lone year.

Although he coached high school and club while finishing his pro career, Resetarits' retirement from box lacrosse saw him return to the Bay Area to begin his collegiate coaching career. He served as an assistant at Notre Dame de Namur in 2012, then helmed American River College (2013), Pacific (2013-15) and the UC Davis club (2015-present). In 2016, Resetarits earned Western Collegiate Lacrosse League Coach of the Year acclaim after guiding the Aggies to the league championship game.
