Garrett Bender
Assistant Coach
Garrett is a member of the United States National Rugby 7's team, including the 12 man roster who qualified for the 2016 Olympics Games in Rio De Janeiro. He serves as assistant coach for the Nike Rugby Camp at Sam Houston State University.
Garrett has been playing and coaching competitive rugby for over 10 years, and has helped several youth programs in the Minneapolis area. He served as head coach for the Minneapolis Rugby 7's Men's Team. Garrett now works with individual high school athletes to help them train.

- Tiger rugby 2017- 2019 (Elite Invitational 7s team)
- USA 7’s team. 2012-2016 (capped for 25 tournaments on the HSBC 7’s World Series)
- Eastside Banshees Rugby Club. 2011-2012 (Mens Division 2 team out of MInneapolis MInnesota)
- Youngbloodz 7’s Rugby Club. 2011-2013 (Men’s club 7’s team out of Minnesota. Made it to Club 7’s Nationals in 2011 and 2012 placing 4th and 6th)
