Henrik Lundqvist - Camp Director

Henrik Lundqvist will serve as Camp Director for the Nike Junior Golf Camps at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course.

Henrik Lundqvist grew up in Sweden next to a golf course, which naturally became the hub for meeting friends. At the age of 11, he began playing golf in an environment that fostered a culture of friendly competition, pushing each other to aim higher and excel.

His closest friends from childhood went on to achieve extraordinary success, including becoming the first Swede to play in the US Masters in 1989, winning multiple European Tour and Ladies European Tour titles, and competing on the PGA and LPGA Tours. As a result, Henrik’s small Swedish golf club remarkably boasted players on every major tour worldwide—a phenomenal accomplishment for a club that lacked winter practice facilities.

In 1986, at the age of 21, Henrik began his professional playing career. Over the next four years, he competed on the European Challenge Tour, Asian Tour, South American Tour, and the Swedish Golf Tour.

In 1990, Henrik transitioned into coaching and has since dedicated over 30 years to mentoring players. He has coached the Swedish, Norwegian, and Belgian national teams, guiding them through numerous European and World Championships.

Currently, Henrik resides in San Diego, California, where he teaches at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course. Fluent in Swedish, English, and French, he also lectures on biomechanics and golf techniques around the world in all three languages.
