Hurlie Brown
Hurlie Brown, originally from Merritt Island, began his football journey at Merritt Island High School and later played for the University of Miami Hurricanes, winning two National Championships. In the NFL, he played for the Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers before transitioning to the CFL.
Brown's coaching career includes stints at various levels, from high school to collegiate teams like Florida International University and the University of Louisiana Lafayette. Notably, he led Merritt Island High School to its first State Championship game in 34 years and Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy to its first-ever district title.
