Colleen Carlson

Colleen is a PTR certified Teaching Professional as well as holding Competitive CC Level 1, Pro CC Level 2 and Doubles Training Certifications from Emilio Sanchez Academy in Naples, Florida. Colleen started as a New England ranked junior player receiving the Francis Jennings Junior Tennis Award and lead her HS and college teams to a State and Conference Championship.
Throughout her career, she has been the Manager and Tennis Pro at the Paxton Tennis Club, the Head Tennis Pro at the Worcester Country Club, Tennis Professional at the Holden Towers Tennis Club and USTA Head Pro for Tennis in the Parks.
Colleen has been the Girls and then Boys Varsity Tennis Coach at Worcester Academy for the past 14 years working with players on player skill analysis and improvement and match play strategy, all while fostering self esteem to adolescent girls and boys within a competitive team tennis setting.
Currently, Colleen is a Teaching Professional at New England Tennis Centers coaching women’s teams, teaching multi court clinics and private lessons improving player skill tendencies utilizing the Spanish and Italian method of instruction. Her continuous search for growth and excellence both for herself and her students have lead her players to Sectional, Divisional and National Championships.
