Ieuan Lister - Director

Ieuan Lister is a professional tennis coach and former collegiate athlete with an extensive background in international training and competitive play. Originally from London, England, he currently serves as a Tennis Professional at Greater Midland.

Collegiate Playing Career

Lister played Division II collegiate tennis at Lake Superior State University (LSSU) from 2014 to 2018. During his time with the Lakers, he was a versatile player competing in both singles and doubles:

  • Senior Year (2017-18): Played primarily at the No. 4 singles position and No. 2 doubles flight.
  • Junior Year (2016-17): Ranked fourth on the team for singles wins, recording eight victories at the No. 4 spot. He also played No. 2 doubles with partner Joseph Gilman.
  • Early Years: Competed across the No. 2 and No. 3 singles slots during his freshman and sophomore campaigns.

In addition to tennis, Lister was a dual-sport athlete at LSSU, also competing in Track and Field.

Professional Background & Training

Before his collegiate career in the United States, Lister gained significant international experience:

  • International Training: He underwent intensive training at the Soto Grande Tennis Academy in both Spain and Gibraltar.

Teaching & Education

Lister transitioned into professional coaching, leveraging his academic background in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, and Health and Fitness. His approach to teaching is informed by his experience at high-level academies and his tenure as a student-athlete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
