Ilyas Beltz is a high-level coach and former volleyball player
Ilyas Beltz is a high-level coach and former standout player with a strong background in competitive club volleyball. He played at CSUN Club Volleyball where he help lead his team to a 2nd place finish at the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) Nationals, competing against the top collegiate club programs in the country. His national-level playing experience has shaped his understanding of the game and his ability to train athletes to perform under pressure. Beltz has built an impressive coaching resume across multiple programs, including coaching women's volleyball at CSUN. He also led San Diego State University Women's Club Volleyball to back-to-back NCVF National Championships, including a SCCVL first Triple Crown Series winner, an undefeated tournament run at NCVF, and made program history by guiding the SDSU Men's B team to its first ever league championship. His coaching emphasizes mental toughness, discipline, and accountability, helping athletes separate emotion from performance and competee at a a high level. With a passion for teaching and developing athletes, Beltz focuses on building confident, resilient players while fostering a competitive and supportive team culture. He is dedicated to helping athletes grow both on and off the court, preparing them for success in volleyball and beyond.
