During Alexander’s tenure with the cross country program, there have been 79 All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) athletes, 29 All-Region finishers, three All-Americans, five NCAC team titles (2022 and 2024 for men; 2014, 2018, 2019 for women), four NCAC All-Decade honorees, a Coaching Staff of Year title (2022), two NCAC individual champions, two NCAC Rookies of the Year, and two Great Lakes Region individual champions. Before coming to Oberlin, Alexander most recently held a position in the field of public health and health care. Prior to her stint in public health, she coached the boys and girls cross country teams at The Bromfield School. Alexander served as an assistant coach at Rhodes College from 2009-11, helping lead the women’s cross country team to win two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) championships and a pair of South/Southeast NCAA regional titles. On the track, Alexander helped guide the Lynx to three conference championships (two for women, one for men), 14 program records, and two All-Americans.

A five-time All-American in the 800 meters and 400-meter hurdles as a student-athlete at Bates College, Alexander set ten school records during her time on campus. Alexander received her bachelor’s degree from Bates in psychology and Spanish in 2009 before earning her master’s degree in public health in 2013.

Alexander received a USATF Level II Certification in Endurance in July of 2015 and continues to be a student of the sport and coaching education by attending clinics and symposiums.
