Jashae Lee

Assistant coach

Jashae Lee - Assistant coach

Jashae Lee is in her first season as a Long Beach State Women’s Basketball assistant coach after being hired in May 2023.

Lee comes to Long Beach State after working as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Trinity Valley Community College where she helped guide the Lady Cardinals to the 2023 NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship finals. Trinity Valley finished the year with an impressive 34-3 overall record.

Prior to her year at Trinity Valley, Lee spent two years at New Mexico Junior College as an assistant coach. With Lee’s help, the Thunderbirds won the 2022 Region V JCAC Conference Championship after posting a 25-6 overall record and going a perfect 13-0 at home. Her efforts were rewarded as she was selected as a 2022 WBCA 30 Under Thirty honoree. In 2022, she also served as the head coach for the JUCO Top 40 All-Star Game.

Lee previous gained experience working with the University of Arkansas-Monticello where she served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. At Arkansas-Monticello, she helped the Blossoms to a 20-win season and an appearance in the GAC Championship game. Under Lee’s tutelage, the team was ranked nationally for the first time since joining the NCAA.

She also coached at Paris Junior College and Murray State. A skilled recruiting coordinator, Lee has been a key component in developing both guard and post players at each program in which she has worked. Lee has also assisted in overseeing team academics, coordination of strength and conditioning, scouting opponents, on-court coaching, and game preparation.

As a student-athlete, Lee played one season at NMJC before transferring to Murray State where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and a Master’s Degree in human development and leadership.
