Coach Jason Gappa has been the Head Coach and a teacher at Berkshire since 1999. During his tenure Berkshire’s varsity program has amassed 150 wins, qualified for the newly formed (2008) Western New England Prep Baseball League Playoffs four times, and made it to the finals twice...
In 2016, Coach Gappa was named High School Division III Region 1 Coach of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). In addition to his time at Berkshire, Coach Gappa was an assistant at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst while pursuing his MA and an assistant for his alma mater, Dickinson College. As a player at Dickinson, Jason was a three-year varsity letter winner as an infielder on the Red Devil baseball team. In his senior season, he helped lead the team to its most wins in school history.
