Jason Gatti

My name is Jason Gatti and I am currently in the final stages of completing my credential program with the goal of becoming a Physical Education teacher. Sports and outdoor activities have played a major role in every stage of my life.

I grew up in San Anselmo, CA and went to Redwood H.S. where I played varsity Soccer and Lacrosse. I was fortunate enough to be able to continue my athletic career at the University of Arizona where I played lacrosse and was voted Captain my senior year. During my time in Arizona, I began to cultivate my love for the outdoors and explored many different activities such as: snowboarding, paddle boarding, hiking, rock climbing, skydiving, and backpacking. After I graduated, I moved back home and continued working as an after-school sport program coordinator through Ross Recreation. I have always enjoyed working with children but it was during this time that I realized my passion for teaching and coaching young adults on how to enjoy life and live a healthy lifestyle. The natural progression has been to pursue my teaching credential where I will be in my final semester as a student while working as a student teacher at Davidson Middle School. I just completed my first year as Head Coach of the Terra Linda H.S. boys JV lacrosse team, where I successfully built a team from 8 players to 18. It has been a tremendous learning experience which I will forever be grateful for and I look forward to continuing my coaching career in the future. I am newly engaged to my beautiful fiance and am looking forward to an incredible life as an educator, coach, and husband.
