John O'Hara

John O'Hara was hired as the Assumption head men's golf coach in August of 2017.
O'Hara brings a wealth of experience to his first collegiate coaching experience, highlighted by his time as the head golf professional at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston, Mass. from 2003-2012. He also served as the assistant golf pro at Cyprian Keyes from 1999-2003. In addition to his instruction duties at the club, in 2004 he won the New England PGA (NEPGA) Pro-Assistant Championship with Rick Karbowski.
Collegiately, O'Hara was a member of the Division I golf program at Central Connecticut State University, where he helped lead the Blue Devils to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances in 1986 & 1987. Prior to College, O'Hara was the Massachusetts State High School Champion in 1985, as well USGA New England Junior Champion and Massachusetts Junior Champion in 1984.
