Patino Josh

Patiño was the head coach at Southern Virginia University for three seasons, where he helped the Knights set new program records. In 2016, SVU set a record low number of goals allowed since joining the NCAA.

Before Southern Virginia, he had tremendous success as a member of the Utah Celtic FC girls’ soccer coaching staff. He helped guide the U16 Celtic team to a 25-game win streak and eventual 2013 Utah state championship.

With Celtic FC, Patiño helped identify, select, recruit and develop players. His duties also included scouting opponents, developing practice and game plans and guiding players through the college recruiting process.

A member of the Brigham Young University men’s soccer team from 2008-12, Patiño graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and wellness in December 2012.

In November 2013, Patiño was chosen by the Utah Olympic Development Program to help select the state’s top 40 youth soccer players.
