From Coach Tarver…
“I coach because I want to provide a space where girls can develop not only their athletic skills but also their confidence, leadership, and resilience. I believe basketball is more than just a game—it's a platform for teaching life lessons. Through the highs and lows of competition, athletes learn perseverance, teamwork, and the value of hard work. Basketball provides a unique opportunity to teach essential life skills, such as problem-solving, resilience in the face of adversity, and the importance of working towards a common goal. As a coach, my goal is to instill a sense of responsibility, not just to the team, but also to themselves and their community. I want my players to understand that they have the power to be positive leaders, to uplift others, and to contribute meaningfully to society.”
