Justin Cooper

Justin Cooper plays college basketball at SUNY Cortland and served as team captain for three seasons. During his time at Cortland, Justin was named to the SUNYAC All-Conference Team three times. Including first team selections in the 2016-2017 and 2018-2019 seasons.

In the 2018-2019 season, Justin led the SUNYAC Conference and was 8th in the country in free throw percentage, shooting 91.1 percent. During the same season, Justin was second in the SUNYAC in rebounds averaging 9.3 per game and was third in the conference in field goal percentage at 55.4%. Justin scored 1,378 career points which ranks 5th all time at SUNY Cortland.

During the 2017-2018 season, he was recognized on the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week. In the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons, Justin was named to the D3hoops.com All-East Region 3rd team. At the conclusion of his college career, Justin was invited to participate in the EuroBasket Summer League which is a showcase to play professional basketball overseas.

Justin played one season of basketball at Trinity Pawling School before his college career. During his one season he was named to the Third Team NEPSAC Class A and the Pride had a record of 18-5 advancing to the NEPSAC Class A Semifinals.

Cooper has many years of high level playing experience on the AAU, High School, Prep School and College levels. He is a graduate of Pine Plains High School, where he was a 3 year captain and a standout player on the basketball team. During his time at Pine Plains they won 3 Section IX Titles, a Mid-Hudson Athletic League Title and a state runner up finish during his senior season. As a senior he averaged 20 Points, 6.9 Rebounds, 6 Assists and 3.3 Steals Per Game. During his senior season he collected many accolades including Mid-Hudson Athletic League MVP, Section IX MVP, New York State First Team, Dutchess County Coaches Association MVP, Poughkeepsie Journal Player of the Year and more.

After his career at Pine Plains ended, Justin took his basketball abilities to the Trinity Pawling School for a postgraduate year. During his one season he was named to the Third Team for NEPSAC Class A and the Pride had a record of 18-5 advancing to the NEPSAC Class A Semifinals.
