Kelley Mc Peake Nike Lacrosse Camp

Kelley McPeake enters her first season as a full-time assistant on the Tribe’s staff after serving as a volunteer last year.

While McPeake is instrumental with both defensive and offensive strategy, her primary responsibilities include recruiting, practice planning, leadership development of the players, team travel and business office liaison.

McPeake joined the Tribe staff after serving as a volunteer assistant coach at W&M last spring. A tremendous asset to the program, she helped implement practice plans in addition to studying, reviewing and developing player talent.

Prior to joining W&M’s staff last season, McPeake compiled an impressive résumé that included a pair of head coaching positions at Fort Lewis College and San Diego State University. She played a pivotal role at both schools in helping lead and cultivate the growth of the women’s lacrosse programs.

As head coach at Fort Lewis from 2008-10, McPeake initiated the school’s lacrosse team and oversaw all aspects of the program. During her two-year stint, she was instrumental in building a strong foundation upon which the program was able to grow.

Before taking over at Fort Lewis, McPeake served as the head coach at San Diego State for four years (2004-08). Under her leadership, the Aztecs achieved tremendous success that was highlighted by a conference title and a top-seven ranking in the team’s division. In addition to consistently earning lofty national rankings, she helped many of her players garner all-league distinction and SDSU Academic honors. During her time leading the Aztecs, McPeake also served as the WWLL League Commissioner and was named the SDSU Club Sports Coach of the Year.

McPeake’s extensive coaching résumé also includes serving as the head coach of Klahowya High School (2011-13) and Pacific Falcons Lacrosse Club (2010-11). Additionally, she worked as an assistant at Trinity High School (2014-16), Scripps Ranch High School (2011) and LaxDawgs Lacrosse Club (2004-08, 2010).

As a club coach, she helped 15 players earn roster spots with Division I programs, while 10 others went on to play at the Division II and III levels.

McPeake played collegiately at the University of California, Berkeley and graduated with degree in sociology in 2004.
