Keary brownlee

Coach Brownlee has been involved with playing and coaching basketball for over half of his life. Brownlee's coaching accolades include being named Coach of the Year for Toombs Co., and Assistant Coach of the Year twice for Tift County High School.

After a successful campaign as an assistant coach, Brownlee was named head coach at Toombs County High School in Lyons, Georgia. His impact was immediate as he guided the Toombs County Boys Basketball team to the state playoffs for the first time in over a decade, and beat the town rival who was number one in the state at the time.

During his tenure as a head and assistant coach, Brownlee has helped develop his players to reach their highest potential and placed numerous student-athletes in junior college, Division I and Division II programs, many of whom received scholarships.

In his post-collegiate years, Brownlee spent 12 years coaching at the high school level. His coaching career begin as an assistant coach at Tift County High school where he helped lead the team to two State Final Four appearances in six years.

Brownlee went on to earn Region 23 Player of the Year at Meridian Community College and earned a Division 1 scholarship to play at The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Originally from Tifton, Georgia, Brownlee was a standout high school basketball player at Tift County High School and was an All-State performer and Conference Player of the Year. His strengths in coaching are strategy, relationship building, and development.
