After a successful collegiate career and a run in the professional ranks, Kelli Bowers joined the Grand Canyon women's golf team as an assistant coach in October of 2015. She will enter her fifth season with the Lopes in 2019-20.

Bowers has played a significant role in GCU's steady rise to winning the Western Athletic Conference tournament in 2018, and earning the school's first-ever NCAA Tournament bid in it's first postseason eligible year. She hepled coach three All-WAC honorees in 2017-18, including the WAC Freshman of the Year who also won medalist honors at the WAC Championship.

Bowers joined the Lopes' staff after playing professionally on the Symetra Tour, which included a pair of top-20 finishes in 2015. Her highest professional finish was seventh place at the Guardian Retirement Championship.

Before ending her amateur status, Bowers recorded quite a resume, including qualifying for the 2013 U.S. Women's Open and the Women's Amateur Public Links championship. At Washington, she was the top-placing Husky in five events during her career, including earning the team's top score at the NCAA Championship as a freshman in 2011. That season, which was the first of three NCAA postseason appearances, Bowers placed 26th as an individual at the NCAA Championship.

A native of Chelan, Wash., Bowers joined the Huskies after earning four consecutive Washington state titles as a high school player. That streak came alongside 12 Washington Junior Golf Association wins between 2002 and 2009.
