Kellina Yarrish

Kellina Yarrish is the Head Field Hockey Coach at Cedar Crest College.

Kellina Yarrish returns to Cedar Crest as Head Coach after being at the helm of the McDaniel College Field Hockey program for the 2018 season.

Yarrish spent three seasons (2015-17) as the head coach of the Falcons and improved each season. She took over a Falcon program that did not win a game in 2014, to posting a 10-6 record and bringing her team to within one game of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) playoffs. The 10 wins in the fall of 2017 matched the program record for wins in a season. Yarrish, the 2017 CSAC Coach of the Year, produced the conference's Rookie of the Year each of her last two seasons with the Black and Yellow.

Yarrish also served as the department's recruiting coordinator and served as a College Life Professor, assisting first-year students in making a successful transition from high school to college. Yarrish will also take on the position of Assistant Director of Athletics and Recreation Wellness. "Kellina will also serve us in our Recreation and Wellness area and is a perfect fit for that role," continued Snook. "She has a passion for Health, Wellness and Fitness and is going to help us continue to grow this area for the College."

Prior to her first stint with the Falcons, Yarrish was an assistant at Dickinson for two seasons. While on the Red Devil staff, she was integral in helping the program to 12 wins and a Centennial Conference playoff berth in her first year. She also spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Keystone, where she was a captain and All-CSAC selection in 2008 and 2009.

Serving as an instructor at numerous camps around the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, Yarrish is the Founder and Director of the Lehigh Valley Sparx Field Hockey Club. The Sparx is a developmental club that serves student-athletes in the Lehigh Valley in Bethlehem, Pa. She holds Level I and II Coaching certification with USAFH.

Yarrish graduated from Keystone with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology in 2013. She also earned in masters of education from Cedar Crest in 2017 and will be obtaining a second masters in Kinesiology from McDaniel this December.
