Kevin Clifford (Coach Cliff)
Head Coach

Kevin Clifford is in his seventh season as head coach of the Roberts Wesleyan University women’s basketball team.
Clifford was hired in the summer of 2018 and compiled a 63-69 record in his first five seasons, highlighted by the Redhawks’ first East Coast Conference tournament championship in the spring of 2021. Roberts used the ECC title as a springboard to its first NCAA Division II Tournament appearance and defeated American International and Dominican to reach the Sweet 16.
The Redhawks reached the semifinals of the ECC Tournament and finished third at the National Christian College Athletic Association Division I Tournament in Indiana during the 2021-22 season. Roberts placed fourth in the NCCAA Tournament during Clifford’s first season.
Prior to joining the Redhawks, Clifford coached for three years at Buffalo State College. In his time at Buffalo State, he led the 2017-2018 women’s basketball team to its most wins (13) since the 2013-2014 season. In the same season, Clifford led the Bengals to the SUNYAC Semifinals.
Before Buffalo Sate College, Clifford served as the head coach at Mount St. Vincent for three seasons and led the program to its first ever Skyline Conference Championship and a trip to the NCAA playoffs. For his efforts in 2013-2014, Clifford was named the All-Metro Co-Coach of the Year and Skyline Coach of the Year.
From 2005 to 2012, Clifford worked at The City College of New York spending time as an assistant men’s basketball coach before taking over as the women’s basketball head coach.
Coach Clifford earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from Sacred Heart University. Clifford also completed his Master’s in Elementary Education at CCNY.
