Coach Lindner loves tennis. He loves to play tennis, he loves to watch tennis, and he loves to teach and coach tennis. His passion for tennis has led him to the Oregon Elite Nike Tennis Camps this summer. He is very excited and can’t wait to get started.

Coach Lindner taught Elementary Physical Education in the Beaverton School District for 30 years and coached High School Tennis for 36 years. He was a 7-time Metro League Tennis Coach of the Year, and in 2017 he was selected as the Section 8 High School Tennis Coach of the Year (AK, OR, WA, ID). Kurt served as the 6A Boys High School Tennis Representative to the Oregon Coaches Athletic Association for many years and was the Chairman of the 6A Boys seeding committee to the State Tournament. Coach Lindner has been the tournament director for the Oregon School Activities Association State Tournament and has run other tournaments at the high school level.

In addition to coaching High School Tennis, Coach Lindner has been involved with other organizations that promote the game. He has been a tennis teacher and instructor at Portland Community College, presented skill and strategy sessions at several coaching clinics and workshops, and coached at many Tilmanis Summer Tennis Camps. Kurt also served as the Tennis Commissioner/Tournament Director for State Games of Oregon. He was the chairman of the Junior Team Tennis program for the USTA/ Pacific Northwest Section and in 2011 was selected as a Community Champion by the USTA.

The Summer Nike Tennis Camps at Jesuit High School are another opportunity for him to work with young people to help them improve their game, have a lot of fun in the process, and enjoy the lifelong sport of tennis.
