Kyle Bossier

Kyle Bossier, former assistant coach at NCAA Division III UC Santa Cruz, enters his fifth summer directing the Nike Boys Basketball Camp at UC Santa Cruz. Bossier now enters his second season at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO as lead assistant coach.

Kyle Bossier began working at Colorado Mesa in June of 2018 and will rejoin head coach Mike DeGeorge as his top assistant after working with him seven years prior at Rhodes College. Bossier will be in charge of recruiting and be active in all aspects of the program including scouting, player development and planning practices.

Kyle came to Colorado Mesa University from Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore. While with the Wildcats, Coach Bossier was the lead assistant, helping the team to a Northwest Conference tournament berth and a 16-win season.

In the 2016-17 season, Coach Bossier was a graduate student-manager and video coordinator at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, Ca. While with the Gaels, Bossier earned a Master's Degree in Kinesiology and was a part of a program that set a school record for wins while reaching the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament.

From 2012-16, Bossier was an assistant coach at NCAA Division III UC Santa Cruz. While with the Banana Slugs, Bossier coordinated recruiting, scouting, player development, fundraising and strength and conditioning. During his time there, the program twice set school records for Division III wins in a season.

Bossier began his coaching career at NCAA DIII Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. After volunteering his first year as a video coordinator on Head Coach Mike DeGeorge’s staff, he was promoted the next season to varsity assistant coach, and head junior-varsity coach. During his two years, the Lynx achieved the greatest turnaround in program history, improving their win total from seven to eighteen.

On a part-time basis, Coach Bossier has worked as a Scout for the San Antonio Spurs, Director of Nike Summer Basketball Camps, Owner of Slug Hoops Youth Basketball Training, Instructor of Physical Education, and Head Coach of Top Flight Elite U16 AAU and 15U Hoop Salem High Academic.

Kyle played basketball at Santa Rosa High School before attending Santa Rosa Junior College and Louisiana State University. While at LSU, Kyle earned a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies, emphasis in Kinesiology, Leadership and Business Management.
