Lauren Farber is serving as the interim head coach for the Furman women’s lacrosse program in 2024.

A native of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Farber currently serves as an assistant strength training & conditioning coach at Furman. She works primarily with the Paladins’ women’s golf, women’s tennis, and women’s lacrosse programs.

Farber was a four-year letter winner for Furman from 2019-2022. A 2022 first team All-Big South selection, she appeared in 50 games throughout her career and registered 27 starts. Farber finished with 61 points on 47 goals and 14 assists. She currently ranks 10th all-time at Furman with 73 draws.

A 2022 team captain, Farber helped the Paladins capture the 2021 Southern Conference regular season championship after finishing 12-5 overall and 4-0 in the league. Furman compiled a 34-25 record during her four seasons while going 15-3 against league opponents.

She was a SoCon All-Freshman Team pick in 2019 as the Paladins posted an 11-8 record while going 4-1 in the conference, clinching a share of the league’s regular season championship. Farber registered 15 points on nine goals and six assists that season with Furman falling in the finals of the SoCon Women’s Lacrosse Championship.

Farber ranked fifth on the Paladins with seven points on four goals and three assists in 2020, a season that was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, Farber scored nine goals and dished out one assist, totaling 10 points, as the Paladins tied a school record with 12 victories and clinched their first outright regular season title in program history. Furman won a program-best eight straight games that year and advanced to the finals of the SoCon Women’s Lacrosse Championship.

She had a career year for the Paladins in 2022 setting new career highs in points, goals, ground balls, draws, and caused turnovers en route to being named first team All-Big South. Farber was fifth on the team with 27 points on 23 goals and four assists while contributing 43 draws, 24 ground balls, and 15 caused turnovers during Furman’s first season in the Big South Conference.

Farber attended Upper Arlington High School where she helped lead the program to three straight state championships. As a senior, she was an all-state and All-America selection while being named OCC Player of the Year and first team OCC. Farber garnered first team OCC and second team all-state citations during her junior season. She received honorable mention OCC honors as a sophomore.

Farber graduated from Furman in 2022 with a degree in business administration. She is CSCS, TPI Level 1, and TPI Level 2 certified.
