Lauren Weitzel

Lauren Weitzel joined the Green Terror in the fall of 2021. She is pursuing her Master's in school counseling and working as a Graduate Assistant for the McDaniel Women's Lacrosse Team.
Weitzel is a graduate of Manchester Valley High School and continued her lacrosse career at Misericordia University. At Misericordia, she was a four‑year starter and two‑year captain, earning multiple top‑tier conference and regional honors, including All‑MAC Freedom Honorable Mention (2018), All‑MAC Freedom First Team (2021), and First Team All‑Region (2021).
Weitzel played a central role in the Cougars’ rise, helping lead the program to its first‑ever NCAA Tournament appearance, advancing to the second round. During her standout senior season, she earned two Offensive Player of the Week awards, IWLCA Academic Honors, and All‑MAC Academic Team recognition, underscoring both her on‑field impact and academic excellence.Weitzel finished her career with 69 goals, 28 assists, 125 ground balls, 88 caused turnovers, and 154 draw controls.
