Lee Sartor

Camp Director

Lee Sartor - Camp Director

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic professional with more than Twenty years of experience coaching and building championship level basketball teams. Currently, I’m the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at High Point Academy in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Prior to that, I was the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Erskine College in Due West, SC. In my first season I led the Flying Fleet to its 3rd Winning Season in twenty seasons.

In my short tenure, I have coached several all-conference players, an All American, and several players who have played professionally while making Erskine College Men’s Basketball team in one of the most competitive teams in Conference Carolina. While success on the basketball court is a priority, my proudest accomplishments are graduating my players and preparing them to be positive contributors in this society.

Prior to coaching at Erskine College, I had a very successful tenure at Spartanburg Day School. My teams won Basketball Championships 3 times, 8 Regional Championships, and 5 Final Four Appearances. I was named Coach of the Year 7 times and coached 20 All State Players to include Zion Williamson, one of the Nation’s top-rated high school players in 2018, former Duke Star, and now NBA All-Star Player for the New Orlean Pelicans.

Developing players, running practice and games, and cultivating a winning atmosphere are just a few of the areas in which I excel. Furthermore, I am committed to promoting a team environment of respect, attentiveness, participation, and discipline while helping players learn valuable lessons and skills—personally, physically, and spiritually. I have strong communication and interpersonal skills, I’m a great teacher of the game, and I pay close ongoing attention to the physical, emotional, and overall wellbeing of my players on and off the basketball court.

Coach Sartor holds a master’s degree in human resources from Webster University and a BS Degree in Criminal Justice from USC Upstate. Coach Sartor and his wife of 33 years, Olivia (SMC, Limestone College), have a son, LA (Claflin University), a daughter, Fanchon and a grandson, Zayn.
