Linda Lensch

Instructor

Linda Lensch - Instructor

Elite-Level High Performance Pitching Instructor certified & vetted through PaulyGirl Fastpitch. Continues to study on a weekly basis with a nationwide network of Master and Elite internal rotation experts. Linda has also studied with Fastpitch Foundations.

Certified as an Endorsed Pitching Instructor by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Inductee, USA Softball of New Jersey and Union County, NJ ASA Halls of Fame

Member, USA Softball Hall of Fame Selection Committee (Fastpitch).

Former Assistant/Pitching Coach, Seton Hall University, Kean University, Richard Stockton University, hosted numerous camps & clinics over the years.

Played Women's ASA Class A & Major Fastpitch, and Major Modified, 1976-2003. Two-time ASA Modified All-American and Gold Glove catcher. Played against some of the best of that era, including members of the first two USA Olympic teams, and occasionally the Puerto Rican, Canadian & Venezuelan visiting teams. Played for Linden Arians, Staten Island Saints and Linden Majors. Mentored by Majors coach and pitching guru Betty Zwingraf (NJ Hall of Fame).

Began coaching ASA Women's Class A & Major in 1983 with the famed Linden Arians team (founded 1934) which she inherited from National Hall of Famer Margaret "Toots" Nusse upon her retirement. Linda was a player/manager/coach for 10 years before moving on to play Major Modified ball in NYC for a few years with a nationally-dominant team out of Washington Heights and Harlem. In 1998, Linda founded the New Jersey Divas Women's team. Over their six-year existence, the Divas competed as Major, Class A and 23U. In 2003, they were one of the top teams in the nation, winning almost every event they entered. They went undefeated in the 23U National championship and earned the MVP and most of the All-American awards, and a few weeks later nearly repeated these accomplishments at the Class A nationals, falling shy for a 3rd place finish.

Linda has coached several ASA & college MVPs, All-Americans, and both college and USA/ASA Hall of Fame selections over her career.
