Lindsay Newman, Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Lewis & Clark, will direct camp!

Newman, formerly Kibler, comes to Palatine Hill after spending the past four years as the head coach of fellow NWC school Linfield University. In her four seasons, Newman led the Wildcats to a 32-14 overall record (.696 winning percentage) and a 27-9 mark (.750 winning percentage) in conference play.

Newman is no stranger to starting a new program. She served as the lead assistant at Whitman College for the program's first two seasons and as an assistant coach at Asbury University for it's first season.

In her three full seasons at Linfield, Newman led the Wildcats to a pair of second-place finishes and a third-place showing in 2022. After finishing below .500 in 13-straight seasons, Newman guided the program to four-straight winning seasons and the program's first four winning conference seasons in program history.

She coached the program's first-ever NWC Rookie of the Year, Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Region honoree. Over the course of her tenure at Linfield, Newman had 16 All-Conference honorees and nine players earn NWC Scholar-Athlete recognition. Off the field, Newman served as the interim Senior Woman Administrator and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Co-Advisor for the Spring of 2022 and was the recipient of the NCAA Division III Inclusion Spotlight Initiative in 2021.

Prior to Linfield, Newman worked with the Tenacity Project in Portland, Oregon. She served as both the Oregon Director and the Head Coach for the Tenacity Project chapter in Oregon. The Tenacity Project is a club girls lacrosse program with a focus on developing coaches and potential collegiate student-athletes to reach their highest potential. She led the Elite 2019 and 2021 youth teams, that competed regionally and nationally.

She also spent two seasons as the head coach of the Lakeridge High School Lacrosse program. In 2018, Lakeridge won the State Championship and the Silver Cup.

Newman played one season of varsity lacrosse at Division II Indiana University of Pennsylvania, before transferring to play her final three seasons with the extremely competitive club team at the University of Kentucky.

She graduated from Kentucky in 2012, earning a bachelor's degree in animal science. Newman completed her master's degree in sport coaching at the University of Denver in 2017.
