Ashley Reid

Directing camp is Ashley Reid! University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis welcomes Ashley (Van Camp) Reid as the head coach for the inaugural women’s lacrosse program beginning in 2022-23.

Reid comes to UHSP from University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kan., where she spent two years as the head women’s lacrosse coach for the Spires varsity program in the NAIA. While there, she brought in the largest recruitment class in program history while cultivating the teams’ servant leadership culture.

As an athlete, Reid played for the women’s lacrosse program at Missouri Baptist University, helping to lead the team to nationals in 2013-14. She was named team captain of the MBU Spartans and received All-Conference recognition for defense.

Reid graduated from Missouri Baptist with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 2017, then went on to earn her Master of Science in Sport Management in 2019.

Reid is eager to begin building the Eutectic women’s lacrosse program from the ground up.

“What I am most excited about with my new position at UHSP is to see who will help bring this program alive,” said Reid. “We will be a first year program next fall and this class is going to be very special not only to me but to the University. These athletes are going to lay the foundation for the future. I’m not only excited to see that but also to see these students thrive academically here at UHSP.”

Reid has already begun work towards recruiting a team of at least 12 athletes for her 2022-23 Eutectic team. The UHSP women’s lacrosse team will compete and practice at UHSP’s home soccer field at St. Mary’s High School in St. Louis.
