During her club career she was selected for Southern California’s Olympic Development Program. Liz attended Los Alamitos High School, where she helped lead her team to back‑to‑back CIF Division I State Championships. After high school, she relocated to the Chicagoland area to continue her playing career at Elmhurst College, where she also represented the program internationally in competition across Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany.
Liz is an accomplished and widely respected soccer coach with more than twenty five years of experience across youth, high school, collegiate, and club environments. Recognized for her player‑centered philosophy and her ability to build disciplined, competitive, and cohesive teams, she has coached athletes at every stage of development—from early beginners to collegiate standouts—while consistently elevating the programs she serves.
Coach Skwarczynski holds multiple advanced coaching credentials, including the NSCAA National “C” and “D” Licenses, the USSF Regional Diploma, and the NSCAA Futsal Diploma. Liz’s coaching career spans numerous influential roles throughout Illinois. She has served as an assistant coach for the women’s programs at Lewis University and Joliet Junior College. At the high school level, her experience includes positions such as Head Boys’ Varsity Coach at Newark High School, Boys’ Assistant Coach at Yorkville High School, and Boys’ Assistant Coach at Minooka Community High School. She also led the Minooka Girls’ Varsity program, where she transformed a struggling 1–17 team into a competitive 10‑7‑1 (.583) squad in just one season.
Her club experience includes coaching with Three Rivers Soccer Club/Chicago Rush South, where she directed the U16 Girls program. Liz has also contributed significantly to elite youth development through her work with the Illinois Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program, coaching at the Player Development Camp, State Camp, and Midwest Regional Camp, where she helped identify and train some of the state’s emerging female talent.
Liz holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Governors State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Elmhurst University. She resides in Minooka with her husband, Mark, and their two sons, Andrew and Jack.
