Co-Director

Martin Parkes - Co-Director

Coach Martin Parkes has over 25 years of coaching experience at every level, from beginner to professional and 6 years of experience as Camp Director for numerous Nike Adult Sports Camps. A former top junior and NCAA Division I ranked player from Great Britain, he has been based in the U.S. for the past 23 years, including nine years at Saddlebrook International Tennis Academy in Florida, where he served as the ITF Team head coach and academy mental performance director.

Transitioning to college coaching after completing his MBA in Sports Business, Coach Parkes led the Saint Leo University men’s team to a national final and #1 national ranking, while also guiding the women’s team to two Final Four appearances. He later joined Pepperdine as the men’s assistant coach for the 2016-17 season, helping the team secure a second-place finish in the WCC regular season and reach the championship final. He is also a certified RSPA and PTR Elite Pro and previously served as the Pepperdine Tennis Community director. In 2017, he took on the role of Pepperdine Crest Associates tennis program coach, focusing on serving the Pepperdine and local community with engaging tennis programs.

His coaching highlights include reaching an NCAA national final with Saint Leo and acting as a sports psychologist and traveling coach for Jonathan Marray, the 2012 Wimbledon men’s doubles champion. Throughout his career, he has influenced numerous players, many of whom have gone on to become top professionals or represent elite collegiate programs.

Currently, Coach Parkes is at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, where he runs www.martinparkestennis.com, engaging players of all levels with events centered on his coaching philosophy of “making better lives through tennis!”
