Matt Glover

Assistant Coach

Matt Glover - Assistant Coach

Matt Glover joined the MSU Denver coaching staff as an assistant in August, 2022. Glover helped the Roadrunners rebuild their roster prior to the 2022-23 season, and the team finished 12-17 overall and 9-13 to tie for seventh place in the treacherous Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Glover had spent the previous three seasons as the lead assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at CSU-Pueblo. With Glover on staff, the ThunderWolves developed two Academic All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference first team players as well as an All-RMAC second team selection.

Prior to CSU-Pueblo, Glover spent the 2018-19 season as a graduate assistant at Regis, and he spent the 2017-18 season at Sheridan College (Wyo.) as an assistant coach. Regis had two All-RMAC first team players with Glover on staff, and Sheridan produced five Division I players and six Division II players with his help.

At Regis, Glover earned a master’s degree in communication and leadership.

Glover played as a professional internationally in Georgia and Mexico for two seasons.

He played collegiately at Sheridan for one season, then at Penn State for one season, before finishing his career at Division I San Francisco. He was a two-year starter for the Dons, averaging 6.9 points and 5.6 rebounds while leading the team in assists in each of his two seasons. As a senior in 2014-15, he also led the team in steals and was second in rebounds – he was one rebound short of becoming the first player in program history to lead the team in assists, steals and rebounds in the same season. He played in 32 games and started 21 at Penn State in 2011-12.

Glover graduated from Tustin (Calif.) High School and was All-Empire League first team as well as All-Orange County while also earning All-CIF second team honors.
