Matt Gow

Matt Gow has been the Hokies' specialized goalkeeping coach since 2014, after volunteer coaching for a number of years prior. Before to coming to Tech, Gow spent two seasons as an assistant coach at MidAmerica Nazarene University, one of the nation’s top NAIA programs. While at MNU, Gow was responsible for all goalkeeper training.
At MNU, Gow helped his team to both a national semifinal and national quarterfinal appearance, coaching 15 all-conference selections, four All-Region selections and four All-America selections. In addition, the starting goalkeeper at MNU was able to achieve two All-America selections under the direction and instruction of Gow.
While coaching at MNU, Gow was one of the founding coaches of Toca Futbol Club, a faith-based soccer club located in the Kansas City metro area. As the Director of Goalkeeping, Gow also coached multiple teams ranging in ages eight to 18.Prior to coaching at MidAmerica Nazarene and Toca FC, Gow played for the Southern California Seahorses, a member of the Premier Developmental League.
