Matt Lautz Regis Baseball Camp

Matt Lautz joined the Regis University baseball program in June 2021 as a Graduate Assistant Coach and will serve as an Assistant Baseball Coach in 2024, working primarily with hitters and outfielders.

Regis is coming off back-to-back strong seasons in 2022 and 2023, going a combined 58-48-1 during that stretch. The Rangers finished second in the RMAC standings in 2022; the highest finish for the program since rejoining the RMAC in 1996. They followed it up with a third-place finish in 2023 and a postseason run all the way to the RMAC Tournament championship game against No. 1 ranked Colorado Mesa.

The 2023 team set school records for runs scored (517), runs batted in (462) and stolen bases (100) while tying the program's longest winning streak of 13 games.

Prior to coming to Regis, Lautz played baseball at Santa Barbara City College from 2016-2018 before transferring to Concordia University Irvine in Irvine, CA for the 2019 and 2021 seasons. He finished his Concordia University Irvine playing career with a .343 batting average and a .448 on-base percentage.

In 2021, he was recognized as among the best NCAA DII players in the West Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) with First Team All-Region honors. He was also named First Team All-Region by the Division Two Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA).

Prior to college, Lautz attended Agoura Hills High School in Agoura Hills, California.

Lautz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science and a Master's degree in Organizational leadership. He is also pursuing a Master's in Coaching and Athletic Administration.
