Michael Marino
Lead Instructor
On staff is Michael Marino, Head Coach of Faceoff Factory SoCal. Marino is also a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Concordia University Irvine Eagles since 2020 and works primarily with our face-off players.
Coach Marino graduated from Aliso Niguel HS in 2015. He graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sports Management and a Minor in Business Administration.
Marino was a four-year starter for the Mavericks ending with a 63% career faceoff win percentage. Currently, he is still the program leader in ground balls (387) and in face-offs won (779). During his four year campaign he accumulated several awards including Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference MVP (2017), three-time First-Team All-Conference, and a 2018 NCAA Tournament participant.
Marino currently resides in Irvine, CA and coaches for Faceoff Factory SoCal and Mission Viejo HS in addition to his CUI responsibilities.
