Michala Hash

Michala Hash has joined the Sacred Heart University women’s basketball program as coordinator of basketball operations as announced by head coach Jessica Mannetti. She brings both collegiate playing and coaching experience to the Pioneers.

Most recently, Hash spent two and half seasons as an assistant coach at Coker University. She helped the Cobras double their wins in 2019-20 and coached Erin Houser, who earned the Second-Team All-South Atlantic Conference honors. The program posted a 3.65 grade point average and landed 11 student-athletes on the 2019-20 SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll. During her inaugural year with the Cobras, Saquita Joyner was named to the SAC All-Freshman Team.

Prior to her time in Hartsville, S.C., Hash worked two years on the staff at Garner-Webb University as a graduate assistant. During her last season, the Bulldogs posted a 19-13 record and advanced to the semifinals of the Big South Conference Tournament. Hash assisted with all areas of player liaison, administrative recruiting, alumni relations, fundraising, summer camps, scouting, and game preparation.

Her time at Coker was the second time Hash was in the SAC as she played three seasons at Tusculum College from 2013-16. She excelled in the classroom with spots on the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, D2ADA Honor Roll, and Tusculum’s Dean’s List from 2014-16.

A native of Woodlawn, Va., Hash received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tusculum in 2016. She added a master’s degree in Sports Education from Gardner-Webb in 2018.
