Former CSU-Pueblo second baseman Mike Sanchez is entering his fourth season as a volunteer assistant coach with the CSU-Pueblo baseball program.
From 2007-10, Sanchez established himself as a rare four-year starter with the ThunderWolves, setting school records for highest career and single season fielding percentage by a second baseman. As a senior, he earned the distinction as being the hardest in the nation to strike out, whiffing only four times in 144 at bats. He also set school records in sacrifice hits and currently sits eighth in NCAA Division II history for most career sacrifice hits with 46.
