Mike Sirianni

Mike Sirianni enters his third season in 2019 as head coach of the Ranger baseball program. He began his duties in September 2016.

Sirianni compiled a 27-24 overall record in 2018 including 18 wins in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Rangers finished sixth in the RMAC with an 18-16 conference record, making back-to-back RMAC Tournament appearances. Brad Thoutt headlined the All-RMAC awards as the RMAC Pitcher of the Year. Five players, including Thoutt, received All-RMAC First-Team distinctions while four others represented Regis on All-RMAC rosters. 13 players earned RMAC All-Academic recognition with two being named to the First Team.

In his first year at the helm, Sirianni led Regis to their most successful season since 2013 with an overall record of 26-26 and 18-18 in conference. In addition, Sirianni guided the Rangers to their first RMAC Tournament appearance since 2013 while also naming the program's 12th All-American in Josh Newell. Newell finished his career a three-time All-American, four-time All-Region and two-time All-RMAC performer.

Nine players in total received All-RMAC honors while nine were also recognized to an RMAC All-Academic team.

Sirianni spent the three seasons prior to Regis as a volunteer assistant coach at Wichita State and prior to that spent three years as the head assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Newman University. While at Newman, Sirianni was responsible for the coaching of all position players, running the offense, coaching third base, developing scouting reports and field care and preparation.

In addition, Sirianni helped lead Newman to a conference championship two of the three seasons, including the Jets highest conference finish in school history. The offense, under Sirianni's guidance, broke several school records as the team produced the program's best finish.

During his time at NU, Sirianni recruited and coached six Gold Glove winners, 14 all-conference position players and a Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year.

During the summers of 2009, 2010 and 2011, he was head coach of the Jonesboro Ricemen, an American Legion team that won an Arkansas State Legion Championship in his first year. Throughout his time with the Ricemen, Sirianni led the team to four conference championships and assisted in 19 players moving on to play college baseball.

From 2007-11, Sirianni served as an associate scout for the Cleveland Indians assisting in the drafting of seven players. In 2008, he was an assistant coach at Iowa Western Community College where he was in charge of the development of infielders and hitters while assisting in all aspects of recruiting.

Sirianni is a native of Indianola, Iowa and earned a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Arkansas State in 2006.
