Mike Walsh
Assistant Coach
Mike Walsh, a four-year member of the Golden Flyers' swimming and diving team, returned in 2019-20 as a part-time assistant coach. In his first coaching season, Walsh helped the Golden Flyers' men's team to their first-ever Empire 8 Conference title.
A native of Hilton, N.Y, Walsh graduated from Nazareth in 2019 with a degree in biology. He competed for the Golden Flyers for four seasons and served as team captain in 2018-19. His top performances included 1:02.31 in the 100 breaststroke, 2:25.05 in the 200 breaststroke and 2:07.90 in the 200 IM. He was the 2019 recipient of the team's Purple and Gold Award in recognition of exceptional team spirit and enthusiasm.
Walsh was a member of the track and swimming teams at Hilton High School, where he earned Monroe County League all-star honors in 2015. He was the recipient of the Nazareth Class of 1928 Scholarship as well as the Excellence in Sciences Scholarship.
