Nick Bonifay
Camp Director
Nick is an Assistant Coach at the University of Montevallo, a Division II program competing in one of the most competitive conferences in the country.
He played five years at Oklahoma City University, serving as a two-year team captain and earning Academic All-American honors all five seasons. He also received the Coaches Award in 2023–24 and 2024–25, recognizing his excellence in academics, leadership, community involvement, and work ethic.
Nick brings extensive coaching experience across multiple levels. He has worked with Thunder Youth Basketball, affiliated with the Oklahoma City Thunder, running camps across the state. Nick has also coached AAU teams with Summit Basketball Academy in Oklahoma City. For the past six years, he has provided individual skill development in both Alabama and Oklahoma. Additionally, from 2020-2022, he served as a basket instructor for Point Guard College basketball camps.
Nick coaches because he loves basketball — the strategy, competition, and the pursuit of improvement. He also values the opportunity to mentor young athletes, using the game to teach character, leadership, and life skills. “I see coaching as a sacred responsibility — one that goes far beyond wins and losses. A coach can be one of the most impactful figures in a young person's life. My job goes deeper than creating better shooters and passers. I want to use the game to create better people.”
Parents and players can expect a coach fully committed to development on and off the court. Nick focuses on building habits, skills, and mindsets that help athletes succeed in basketball and life, emphasizing dedication, teamwork, and consistency in every session.
