Directing camp is Nico Capron, Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach at St. Bonaventure University.

Nico Capron joined the Bonnies men's lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant during summer 2019.

He served as Defensive Coordinator for the Bonnies in 2021 and helped lead the team to a fourth-place ranking in goals against average nationally as well as a sixth-place standing in man-down defense. He coached All-Conference goalkeeper Brett Dobson who led the nation in save percentage (59.9%) as well as fellow All-MAAC selection long pole Zack Belter.

Off the field, Capron was instrumental in organizing team community service projects including the HEADstrong Lax Stache Madness initiative which raised over $35,000 between 2019 and 2020 as well as the Lacrosse for Life project that drew $14,000 for Boston Children's Hospital.

Prior to coming to Bonaventure, Capron served as an assistant coach at Division III Colby College during the 2019 season. He helped guide Colby to the New England Small College Athletic Conference playoffs for the first time since 2015. He also assisted in the organization of travel logistics and day-to-day operations of the program.

Before moving to Colby College, Capron spent two years as an assistant coach at the College of the Holy Cross. During his time with the Crusaders, he assisted in all facets of the program's operation including student-athlete recruiting and player development.

Capron has also spent time with Saint Joseph's and Queens University of Charlotte as a volunteer assistant coach.

As a player, Capron, a Canisius grad, was a four-year letterman and was a member of the 2012 Metro Atlantic Conference Championship team under head coach Randy Mearns.
