Nico Riego de Dios
Nico Riego de Dios played for University of Eastern Washington University at the number 1 spot for singles and doubles. After college, he went straight into coaching and has been in the field for 14 years already. He has worked under the great coach Nick Bolletierri early in his career and has since produced champions in the in SoCal, National, and ITF Juniors.
Under his supervision, his players have won several Little Mo National Championships, ITF Junior Championships, qualified to the Orange Bowl Championships, Eddie Herr International, Billie Jean King National Tournament, and Winter Nationals. He has also produced players that earned full-ride athletic scholarships to the following schools: Harvard University, Pepperdine University, Cal Berkeley, Oklahoma State University, UC Davis, St. Mary’s College, UC Santa Barbara, and Ohio State University. Up to this day, he is still very active in coaching and is still producing top junior players. Nico is born and raised in the Philippines, has an undergraduate degree in Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science from Eastern Washington University and has a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from USC.
