Omar Edwards has played in the New York soccer community since the age of 6 going from local clubs to state , regional and the U.S. youth international pools.
Played and won the Big East title with st John's university in 2009 as the only freshman, and later went on to finish up collegiate soccer at Adelphi university. Captaining Adelphi and winning individual honours allowed him to become a staple in Long Island/NY soccer. Now coaching and directing at one of the most prestigious soccer academy in the nation (MetOval academy) producing top players that have went on to join professional organizations. Omars focus is on the individual development of youth players. Using his international experience from playing in tournaments overseas he is able to bring different views of the game to NY and share his knowledge with upcoming youth players.
